WHO WE ARE

The Green Wyvern Yachting Club dates back to 1947 when Cecil and Bert Howard brought a party from Leicester to learn sailing. Since then, many hundreds have passed through the club - some have stayed and risen through the ranks, some visited and then left to get married and now their children sail with the club. But its not all about sailing. The Green Wvyern is a broad church and long lasting friendships are formed with people from all walks of life and from all over the UK and beyond.

There is no club on the Broads like the Green Wyvern. We teach people to cruise the Broads and rivers not just how to sail quickly. Dying arts such as quanting and shooting bridges are taught as well as how to cater and cook for a hungry crew. Our skippers are always promoted from within the club and always on ability.

Club sailing weeks are open to age 12 and above. No experience is necessary. Contact the secretary for more details
