Round the Island race - 21st August

The next event is the Cecil Howard race on 12th September.

Mayday Cruise - 30th April to 3rd May

Simon Miles has been volunteered to be Commodore for the Mayday Cruise and has formulated a plan thus:-

The Plan:

Friday 30th April (evening): Convene at Somerleyton*

Saturday 1st May: Take up tide to Beccles, stopping for lunch as weather dictates (to be decided on the day) (HW Beccles 15.51)

Sunday 2nd May: to Oulton via Burgh St Peter

Monday 3rd May: Home to moorings

*There is opportunity to join on Saturday morning for those moored on the Yare by slipping through Reedham at or before low water at 08.09.

It is unfortunate that the Sunday morning leg is against the tide, but with the tides as they are at least one leg was bound to be.

As ever, plans are flexible depending on conditions and participants wishes.
