Ian Spoors (1949 - 2008)

The funeral for Ian Spoors, who died 15th May, will take place Thursday 22nd May at Whitley Bay Crematorium and afterwards at Whitley Bay Bridge Club.

Gordon, one of the founders of the club, sadly died on 17th December.

Always prepared to play his part in the club, Gordon took over as Commodore after Cecil Howard's death in 1990 and helped steer the club through a remarkable transformation.

Controvertial at times, but always fun, Gordon will be sadly missed
